Finally in Mallorca!!

So far my days spent in Mallorca consisted of swimming in the Mediterranean, eating gelato exploring the island and getting to know some really awesome people! I am so blessed to be here! It all feels like a dream and too good to be true. It is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been and everyone I've met has been so nice and friendly. I am looking forward to getting to know them better.  Classes start on tuesday and I can't wait!

This is the view we have everyday!

 The water is so warm!

                                                                       The church!

Today we took a bus into Palma.  We had a lot of fun walking around and getting coffee and ice cream! We also walked around a Cathedral.

It was another great opportunity to bound with the staff and other students. I'm looking forward to many more days like this!

Barcelona

I would have to describe Barcelona as... Europe Tim Berton style. After seeing the all the old buildings, I really believe that he must have got his inspiration for his movies from this city.  Barcelona was not a city I would have ever picked out to see for myself or would even want to visit again, but I have to say that I’m very glad that I did get to see it. It was a real experience! It was all very interesting, different and nothing like I’ve ever seen before. The culture is also very different from England and it felt much more like a foreign country.

The highlight for me was the Sagrada Familia.

It really was an amazing building. They began building it in 1820 and to this day it has not been finished. (You can see the crane in the background) The gothic style of the church is not my taste but you can not deny that it is breath taking!

London

Ok well it’s taken a lot longer for me to post then I thought it would but I’ve finally been able to get on the computer.  We had a pretty smooth flight and landed in London around 10am Thursday morning, totally wiped. We are spending about two days in London before we go to Spain to see the sights. So after arriving in London, we tried to power through the day to beat the jet lag but at around 5pm (after being up for almost 27 hours) I lost the battle. I slept for about 12 hours making up for the lost sleep and woke up early and refreshed to see London.

London has always been a place I wanted to visit but I have to admit that it was always toward the bottom of my list. After spending a day in London, I completely fell in love with this city. There is so many things to do and to see and the city is very clean.  Seeing Big Ben and driving over the Tower Bridge were a dream come true.  We also got to see Buckingham Palace, ride in a double decker bus and eat fish and chips!  My only complaint is that I didn’t have enough time!

I enjoyed the many different types of transportation that we took such as: buses, a boat and the tube (or the subway as we call it in America) I found it to be a great way to see and experience the city.
The people were very nice and friendly, the men here are so handsome and with their accents I found them to be irresistible so I snagged one of my own!

I really miss London and I can't wait to go back someday!

Packing....

I leave for Spain tomorrow and I've just finished packing! I've had the hardest time trying to fit all my stuff in my suitcase. But I am now relieved to know that everything is packed and ready to go. I can't believe how fast time has gone by and that it is already time to leave! As excited that I am to go on this amazing adventure, it is very hard to leave my family behind for four months, especially my youngest sister who will probably change the most while I'm gone.

I've made sure I packed everything that I can't live without for four months....
